Q: What time period is this? A: Quiron Academy is set in modern times, during the year of 2006. The specific location is yet to be decided, but it is located in europe.
Q: Is this set in the world of Harry Potter? A: Unfortunately for all those HP fans out there, no. There are also certain other differences, such as the facts we do not use wands, most magic does not need the aid of incantation and that non-magic users aren't called muggles.
Q: Can we use a colored font as our regular font? A: So long as it is readable in all skins [or almost all of them] and it is semi-literate and up, I don't see why not. Just try not to use glowing fonts. Please, do you have any idea how bad those things are on my eyes? I'm already legally blind; I don't want to be truly blind!
Q: Can I have more than one character per account? A: If you'd like to double as two or more characters, there should only be one per account, and up to three accounts. Only one out of that three may be a professor/staff account, so you may have up to three students, or two students and one professor.
Q: How do the roleplays work? Does a member just make a thread and more or less, create a roleplay? Or does the Headmistress make the threads? A: Anyone can make a thread at any time. More or less, someone just makes a thread and creates the roleplay, interacting with everybody/anybody.
Q: Can a character be in more than one roleplay at a time? A: Since it's only a small site right now, yes, a character can be in more than one place at a time. When QA gets to be more active and have more members, probably not. You should probably limit yourself to about 1-5 places at a time.
Q: what is the beginning year of attendance at Quiron Academy? A: You may only begin attending at eleven years of age. Exclusions from this rule may be given to those who show power at a later time, but because most children's abilities are shown at around this age, most are inducted into QA at this time. Most graduate at around 18.
Q: What is Aravisae? A: Aravisae is the magical town outside of Quiron Academy, where you can buy anything you need for school and more. Excursions are allowed after classes end each day, and on weekends and holidays, if you choose to stay at the school instead of going home.
Q: Are any special occasions celebrated at the Academy? A: Yes. We have an end-of-the-year ball, as well as our Christmas one. Other holidays can be celebrated in common rooms and other places. You can take leave from school for a holiday we don't celebrate at Quiron, but you're responsible for all missed classes, work and et cetera.
Q: Will you affiliate with my site/forum? A: I'll be all too happy to, so long as you send me the Affiliation Form in a personal message or e-mail (for those who aren't registered as a member). And yes, we do affiliate with sites that are not Modern Fantasy, like QA is.
Q: Do students have to wear uniforms? A: They should probably wear more sort of a dress robe like attire or simply regular formal wear (xD) for special occasions like the Christmas Ball, but everyday wear for any other time should be fine.
Q: How do the houses earn points? A: Professors, House Heads and the Headmistress can give or take away points based on behavior, class grades, favoritism (not recommended), and whatever they think is wise. Other members of the staff, while often influential to professors and etc in cases of point deduction and reward, cannot.
